Kennedy Park Resort takes pride in its commitment to sustainability, striving for a greener future for generations to come. Achieving a Gold standard with Qualmark, we actively participate in the 'Qualmark Sustainability' initiatives.
In our pursuit of environmental responsibility, we utilise eco-friendly cleaning products and pesticides, minimising waste by employing pump dispensers for laundry and personal care items in our rooms.
We are proud to sponsor various community initiatives such as the Kids Foundation and Special Children’s Extravaganza. Local sports teams such as the Hawks Basketball team, Napier City Rovers Football Club are also supported by Kennedy Park alongside nationally recognised events held in Napier including the Hawke’s Bay Marathon Kids Run and Hurricanes rugby matches.
In our efforts towards conservation, we implement practical measures such as having numerous recycling stations throughout the resort, using biodegradable rubbish bags, and employing an oil filter system in our restaurant to minimise oil changes. Energy efficiency is a priority with motion sensor controls, low-energy bulbs, and natural gas-powered hot water systems. Additionally, our staff actively engage in sustainability initiatives through our Sustainability Committee and continuous improvement.
